INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy (also known as  “counseling”) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with the therapist to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors. In session the therapist and the client work collaboratively to identify the challenges of life and to better understand themselves, others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change. The therapist provides a safe, caring, and confidential environment where as a client you are able to seek your personal growth and insight. 



Individual therapy is not to just to deal with mental health issues but perhaps you are dealing with self-esteem or personal growth issues, or you might need a supportive place to explore your feelings, habits, thoughts or actions and you just want your life back.


Individual therapy can help you challenge the areas in your life that are causing you to maybe feel anxious, depressed or doubtful.

COUPLES

Couples counseling is a process through which a couple works with the therapist to identify specific areas of conflict affecting different aspects of the couples life. Couples therapy can be conducted with people who are engaged, dating, married, or partnered.

 

During session the therapist will address any immediate problems affecting the couple/family and will explore how generational patterns are impacting current conflict within the couple/family. The therapist will assist the couple in developing strategies to enhance the relationship and ameliorate presenting conflict.

CHILD / ADOLESCENT

Child/Adolescent therapy is the process in which the therapist provides sessions to children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with their emotions, behaviors and their communication to the adults around them. There are several techniques and methods used to help children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties and each relies on communication. Therapy for children and adolescents may involve playing, drawing, building, and pretending, as well as talking. This methods are used to assist the child/adolescent express/explore their feelings and emotions while at the same time resolve their problems.

During the session child/adolescent will receive emotional support, assistance in resolving conflict with people. Therapist will assist client in understanding their feelings and problems and will also help client explore solutions to current problems and behaviors. The goal is to change specific behaviors, improve self-esteem, decrease anxiety, depression or any emotional and psychological problem affecting the child/adolescent in their day to day life.

FAMILY

Family therapy is designed to help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. The goal of family therapy is to help family members improve the way they communicate with one another, solve family problems and conflicts affecting the family system and understand how to address difficulty situations the family is dealing with (i.e. death, serious physical or mental illness, or child and adolescent issues).

The goal of family therapy is to enhance skills required for healthy family functioning, including communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
